Orileno
A user-controlled permission and provenance layer between people and the organizations that collect, buy, infer or use data about them.

Context
More and more organizations collect, buy, infer and use data about people - and the people themselves rarely see what is held about them, where it came from, or what they agreed to.
Email is a good example. The places where much of our important communication lands are mailboxes that the provider can browse as ordinary content.
What I am building
Orileno is a user-controlled permission, provenance and secure-communication layer between people and the organizations that use their data.
Its anchor is Secure Inbox: protected addresses whose messages are end-to-end encrypted, so Orileno itself cannot read them. You keep Gmail, Outlook or Microsoft 365 - and choose which communication should live somewhere they cannot browse as normal mailbox content.
Around it sit tools for seeing your exposure and keeping a verifiable record of the permissions you have given.
Why it matters
Technology should increase human agency, not quietly take it away. Control over who knows what about us - and the ability to prove what we did and did not agree to - is part of that agency.
My involvement
I am building Orileno.
